Nell'estremo occidente della provincia di Namur, si trova in cima a una roccia all'incrocio tra l'Eau d'Heure e l'Yves, la cittadina fortificata di Walcourt. L'attrazione principale di questa cittadina è senza dubbio la Basilica di San Maternus. La torre di questa chiesa gotica di pellegrinaggio si erge per 63 m sopra la cittadina. All'interno si può ammirare un magnifico coro del 1531 e naturalmente la statua miracolosa di Nostra Signora di Walcourt. La statuetta in legno del X secolo è una delle più antiche del Belgio.
