Nel 1870, la Société du chemin de fer international de Malines à Terneuzen fondò una stazione a Temse. L'edificio era composto da tre frazioni: due parti alte, con tetto a capanna e costituite da due piani, collegate tra loro da una lunga parte centrale di nove campate.
L'attuale edificio della stazione risale al 1956, ed è stato progettato dall'architetto P.E. Moreels. L'edificio è composto da un biglietteria, locali di servizio e fino a marzo 2016, una casa di segnalazione. Quest'ultima, tuttavia, è stata acquisita nell'ambito del piano di concentrazione delle case di segnalazione da Dendermonde.
