Questa statua in un piccolo parco è stata inaugurata il 31 ottobre 2004. La statua originale, realizzata da un artista di Avelgem, è stata già consacrata nel 2005. Dalla prima guerra mondiale, il monumento è utilizzato come monumento per i caduti e i dispersi.
Il bronzo di San Arnoldus, come Jef Claerhout l'ha rappresentato qui, non è una figura fossilizzata ma un cavaliere aggraziato come persona di carne e sangue. La statua è completamente in armonia con il suo ambiente. Arnoldus è anche un apostolo della pace.
