La Porta Blu è l' unica rimasta delle sette porte d'ingresso attorno al parco del castello di Ooidonk. Viene chiamata anche "Porta arboreti" .
La porta risale al 1595 circa, ma si dice che la struttura attuale risalga al 1864 circa. Il piano attico del cancello d'ingresso fungeva da torre dei piccioni.
Tenere i piccioni era un privilegio. I piccioni mangiavano il grano, quindi il loro numero era limitato. Solo il cittadino benestante aveva il diritto di tenere i piccioni. Le colombaie di una volta sono dei veri e propri edifici.
