La valle di St-Hadelin è alimentata da numerosi corsi d'acqua orientati lungo un asse neozelandese. Questi flussi sono permanenti perché alimentati da sorgenti.
Quando la riserva d'acqua è scarsa, tutta l'acqua del torrente si infiltrerà e la valle sarà asciutta. La Fontaine St-Hadelin ha una portata molto irregolare : da quasi zero in estate a più di 1000 l/s in inverno

88 m/ora); Durante i periodi di acqua alta il tempo di trasferimento è di 21 ore.
Il ruscello Fontaine Saint Hadelin sfocia nella Lesse, 4 chilometri a sud-ovest di Celles, vicino alla stazione di Gendron-Celles.
