Imposta il corso da Dendermonde ad Aalst, prima attraverso la tranquillità rurale dei paesi di Faluintjes, poi lungo i chilometri di piste ciclabili lungo il Dender. La valle tra le due città ospita un paesaggio fluviale variegato con prati umidi, campi di canne e boschetti.
Da punto di intersezione 44 – nel mezzo della regione del luppolo – puoi anche percorrere la Leirekensroute: un tempo una ex ferrovia da Aalst ad Anversa, oggi un popolare percorso ciclabile e pedonale con due altrettanto popolari luoghi di ristorazione: Brasserie De Graankorrel e ’t Stationneken nell'antico edificio della stazione di Baardegem. Due passeggiate in città e una sosta extra in terrazza ad Aalst e Dendermonde per un giorno assicurato nel Scheldeland!
