Attraverso il bellissimo Meetjesland si snoda una linea di bunker della Prima Guerra Mondiale, la 'Hollandstellung'. I tedeschi costruirono questa linea nel 1917 per timore di un attacco alleato dai Paesi Bassi. Questa pista ciclabile passa accanto ad alcuni dei 13 bunker e a molti altri monumenti. Questa pista ciclabile attraversa Eeklo, Zomergem e Waarschoot e ti conduce lungo i sentieri più belli del Meetjesland.
