Friburgo o Friborgo è un comune svizzero di 38 521 abitanti del Canton Friburgo, nel distretto della Sarine; ha lo status di città ed è la capitale del cantone e il capoluogo del distretto. Sorge al centro della regione storica della Nuitonia ed è una città bilingue .
La città è divisa in due parti; la parte bassa, detta basse ville, è ricca di edifici medievali e parzialmente circondata da mura.
