Bellinzona (italiano: Bellinzona, francese: Bellence, tedesco: Bellenz, latino: Bilitio) è il capoluogo del cantone Ticino in Svizzera.
Il comune si trova a un'altitudine di 238 metri, ha 17.286 abitanti (dic. 2004) e copre 1984 ettari (19,84 km²).
La città si trova a est del fiume Ticino, che ha dato il nome al cantone. La città di Bellinzona è un nodo di trasporto da cui si possono raggiungere i passi alpini di San Gottardo, Lukmanier, San Bernardino e Nufenen.
Nel 1475, la città fu menzionata per la prima volta in un documento del Duca di Milano.
Tra le attrazioni vi sono i tre castelli della città, che fanno parte del Patrimonio dell'Umanità dell'UNESCO. Ci sono diversi musei e chiese.
