Una delle sei confederazioni continentali affiliate alla FIFA, la UEFA rappresenta tutte le federazioni calcistiche d'Europa più quelle di Russia, Turchia, Armenia, Azerbaigian, Georgia, Cipro, Israele e Kazakistan. La UEFA organizza nove competizioni ufficiali per nazionali e cinque per club.
