Questo viaggio inizia al bacino di Mattmark sopra Saas-Almagell e ti porta lungo il lago fino al Passo del Monte Moro, dove attraversi il confine italiano. In cima c'è anche una statua dorata di Maria. Questo passo di montagna è stato spesso utilizzato dai contrabbandieri in passato. Sul lato italiano c'è anche un "Rifugio" dove si può mangiare / bere qualcosa. Il ritorno è allo stesso modo, ma si può camminare dall'altra parte del lago. Se sei ben condizionato, puoi tornare a piedi a Saas-Almagell.
Quando ho fatto questa escursione, c'erano ancora molti nevai che dovevo attraversare, il che lo rendeva un'escursione T3 +. Il tempo di percorrenza è stato di 5,5 ore ad una velocità nominale di 5,6 km / h
