Il Sony-Center è un edificio multifunzionale situato nel centro di Berlino. Il complesso di Potsdamer Platz ospita uffici, negozi e ristoranti.
Berlino è una città con un chiaro sfondo storico, ma anche con una visione moderna per il futuro. Il Sony-Center è visto da molti come uno dei punti salienti di questa visione moderna. L'edificio non ha solo un aspetto moderno, ma anche la costruzione è un audace pezzo di tecnologia. In particolare, il tetto di questa costruzione attira molta attenzione, a causa della sua affascinante struttura. Il complesso è composto da sette edifici diversi: la sede europea di Sony Corporation, il Forum, la sede delle ferrovie tedesche, Filmhaus, Esplanade Residence, un grattacielo in Bellevuestraße e un grattacielo alla Philharmonie.
La costruzione del complesso è iniziata alla fine del 1995/inizio del 1996. È stato costruito da Hochtief. Nel 2000 il complesso è stato completato. Ha una superficie totale di 26.500 m², mentre la superficie utile è di circa 132.500 m².
Il progetto del Sony-Center proviene dallo studio di architettura Murphy/Jahn di Chicago. Il grande uomo dietro questo studio è Helmut Jahn.
