Eichenzell si trova al confine tra le aree naturali della pianura occidentale del Rhön, un paesaggio collinare che si trova a nord del Vogelsberg, a est, e la valle del Fliede di Kerzell a ovest. Il centro abitato si trova a circa 7 km a sud-sud-est della città di Fulda, sulla riva orientale del fiume Fulda. A nord-nord-ovest della frazione di Löschenrod sfocia la Fliede, che proviene dalla frazione di Kerzell e viene alimentata dal Döllbach.
