Il comune si trova a 17 chilometri a ovest di Berlino-Spandau, al punto di incrocio dell'anello autostradale di Berlino, del canale dell'Havel e della linea ferroviaria Berlino-Hamburgo, all'interno della valle glaciale di Berlino. Il centro di Berlino dista circa 30 chilometri. Le frazioni di Bredow e Zeestow si trovano già sulle pendici del piano di Nauener, che delimita a sud la valle glaciale.
La capitale statale Potsdam dista 25 chilometri. In prossimità, sul bordo sud-est del comune, si trova il Nymphensee, uno dei laghi più puliti della Brandeburgo.
Il comune senza uffici di Brieselang si suddivide, secondo il suo statuto principale, oltre al nucleo centrale, nelle frazioni.
