Il distretto di Rheingau-Taunus è un'entità territoriale con 187.229 abitanti nella regione governativa di Darmstadt in Assia. Il comune principale è Bad Schwalbach, due uffici distaccati si trovano a Rüdesheim am Rhein e Idstein. Il distretto è stato creato nel 1977 dalla fusione del distretto di Rheingau e del distretto di Untertaunus.
