Il Köterberg è una collina con una cima a un'altitudine di 496 metri, parte del Lipper Bergland, che a sua volta è parte del Weserbergland. Dalla città di Polle si supera una differenza di altezza di 406 metri in 13 chilometri. Gli ultimi un chilometro e mezzo sono senza uscita e i più ripidi (fino al 14%). In cima si trova una torre di trasmissione e il Köterberghaus.
