Blankenheim è un comune della Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia nel distretto di Euskirchen. Il comune, che conta poco più di 8000 abitanti, è composto da 17 località, di cui la principale, Blankenheim, ospita circa 1850 abitanti come residenza principale. Il capoluogo Blankenheim, riconosciuto dallo stato come località di vacanza, presenta un centro storico con una serie di attrazioni notevoli. La più famosa è forse la sorgente dell'Ahr, che è incanalata in una cantina di un edificio a graticcio risalente al 1726. Nella diretta vicinanza si trova il Museo dell'Eifel.
