La Schaumburg è un castello collinare nell'area della città di Rinteln nel distretto di Schaumburg in Bassa Sassonia. Il nome del castello, un tempo Schauenburg, si basa probabilmente sulla vasta vista sulla valle del Weser. È il nome d'origine della famiglia dei conti di Schauenburg e Holstein e della regione di Schaumburg, il cui simbolo è il castello sin dal XIII secolo. Il distretto di Schaumburg porta quindi la foglia di ortica dallo stemma dei conti di Schaumburg nel suo stemma.
