Il traghetto Ditzum–Petkum è l'unica connessione traghettiera ancora esistente oggi attraverso l'Underems in Bassa Sassonia.
Il traghetto collega il piccolo porto di Ditzum, una frazione del comune di Jemgum nel Rheiderland, con Petkum, un quartiere della città indipendente di Emden nella parte settentrionale dell'Ostfriesland. I due luoghi si trovano quasi sulla stessa longitudine geografica sulle opposte rive dell'Underems sotto la diga dell'Ems poco prima della confluenza del fiume nel Dollart.
