La Germania superiore era un'antica provincia dell'impero romano che comprendeva territori dell'attuale Svizzera, Germania e Francia.
La Germania Superior, inizialmente organizzata in provincia imperiale romana tra l'85 ed il 90 d.C., comprendeva vasti territori appartenuti in precedenza alla Gallia Belgica. In quest'ultima venne incluso anche il territorio occupato dagli Elvezi, regione di confine racchiusa tra l'alto corso del Reno e l'alto corso del Danubio, ossia la regione degli Agri Decumates. La provincia venne affidata ad un legatus Augusti pro praetore.
