L'Epprechtstein è una montagna nel Fichtelgebirge settentrionale, 798 m s.l.m. È la montagna mineralogicamente più interessante del Fichtelgebirge. Intorno alla zona della vetta ci sono circa 20 cave. In tre cave viene estratto il granito dell'Epprechtstein, le altre sono chiuse e parzialmente rinaturate. Diverse vie escursionistiche conducono alla montagna. Tra le sue attrazioni ci sono, oltre al castello di Epprechtstein, un labirinto di blocchi di granito e un percorso didattico che ricorda l'industria mineraria.
La salita avviene tramite il sentiero nord da Buchhaus. Ai piedi della montagna, nella frazione di Buchhaus di Kirchenlamitz, dal 2009 c'è un labirinto di imponenti blocchi di granito, costruito dalla città di Kirchenlamitz.
