La pista ciclabile dell'Alsenz è un percorso fluviale lungo 49 chilometri con alcune brevi salite e una pendenza più lunga. Parte dalla sorgente dell'Alsenz a Enkenbach-Alsenborn, attraverso il Pfälzerwald fino alla valle della Nahe, dove l'Alsenz sfocia nella Nahe a Bad Münster am Stein. Contorna il Donnersberg, alto 686,5 metri, con una vasta curva. Si snoda attraverso il paesaggio collinoso aperto, attraverso terreni fertili e accanto a vigneti, sempre vicino al torrente Alsenz. L'intero percorso è uniformemente segnalato con il logo della pista ciclabile ed è facilmente percorribile in entrambe le direzioni. Per motivi di protezione della natura, alcuni tratti non sono asfaltati, pertanto non è adatto per biciclette da corsa o pattinatori in linea.
