Il castello di Schönhagen è l'edificio centrale protetto come monumento del precedente feudo cavalleresco e dell'attuale località balneare di Schönhagen, che fa parte del comune di Brodersby. Si trova dietro la caratteristica costa a strapiombo di Schönhagen sul Baltico.
Il feudo di Schönhagen sorse nel 1711 dopo la separazione dal feudo di Olpenis. Dal 1712 al 1754 apparteneva ai proprietari del feudo di Loitmark ed era considerato una fattoria di questo bene. Nel 1712 Schönhagen apparteneva al colonnello Joachim Dietrich von Dewitz, fratello del generale Franz Joachim von Dewitz. Successivamente passò di mano in mano tra diversi proprietari. Nel 1840 il feudo aveva un'estensione di 1276 tonnellate fiscali, corrispondenti a quasi 2.500 morgen, e contava 64 famiglie con un totale di 310 abitanti. Sottomissi erano il villaggio di Höxmark e metà del villaggio di Brodersby, oltre a Nordhagen e Kiekut.
