Il castello di Forstenberg, noto anche come castello di Forstberg, è la rovina di un castello nobiliare dell'alta epoca medievale nel quartiere di Karlstein del mercato di Regenstauf nel circondario di Regensburg in Baviera, Germania.
Probabilmente il castello fu costruito nel XIII secolo dai signori di Forstenberg, che erano ministeriali dei potenti signori di Hohenfels, come sede principale. Dopo il 1330, il castello passò a Friedrich il Contadino, che da allora si chiamò "von Vorchtenberg". Un Winhir dell'Awaer è citato nel 1387 come tutore di Vorchtenberkch. Dopo vari passaggi di proprietà, il castello entrò nel possesso del langravio Giovanni di Leuchtenberg nel 1393. A lui si deve la creazione di un castello esterno, che però non fu completato, poiché il castello passò poco dopo a Jakob Muracher. Successivamente, il castello passò a Stephan Deuerlinger. Da quest'ultimo, Heinrich Zenger acquistò il castello e il palazzo di Karlstein nel 1460. L'ampliamento del palazzo a Karlstein potrebbe essere anche il motivo per cui Forstenberg cadde in rovina. Dopo diversi passaggi di proprietà, il castello era abbandonato e completamente in rovina almeno nel XVII secolo.
