Il Museo all'aperto LWL di Detmold si trova nella città lippenese di Detmold nel Nord Reno-Westfalia. Il museo è sostenuto dal Consorzio paesaggistico del Westfalia-Lippe. Il museo all'aperto, inaugurato nel 1971, porta il sottotitolo Museo statale della cultura quotidiana della Vestfalia ed è uno dei più importanti nel suo genere in Europa e, con 90 ettari di superficie e circa 120 edifici storici, secondo le proprie dichiarazioni, il più grande della Germania.
