Come "Rheinknie" si indica metaforicamente un tratto di un meandro del sinuoso Reno, la cui forte curva ricorda a distanza il ginocchio di una gamba piegata. Il "Rheinknie" di Düsseldorf separa i quartieri di Hafen e Carlstadt sulla riva destra dal quartiere di Oberkassel sulla riva sinistra del Reno.
