Würdenhain è la frazione più piccola del comune di Röderland, con 120 abitanti, nella regione di Elbe-Elster nel Brandeburgo meridionale. Si trova a ovest della confluenza del Große Röder nel fiume Schwarze Elster, nel sud del parco naturale Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft.
È documentato che a Würdenhain esisteva una struttura fortificata sotto forma di castello o palazzo, probabilmente risalente al primo quarto dell'XI secolo. Il luogo stesso è stato menzionato per la prima volta in un documento nel 1346. Nel 1370 la signoria di Würdenhain era di proprietà dell'imperatore Carlo IV. Il castello fu distrutto nel 1442 per ordine del principe elettore sassone Federico il Gentile, poiché il vassallo sassone là presente si era reso colpevole di rottura della pace. Il territorio della signoria fu assegnato alla vicina signoria di Mühlberg. Quando l'area fu trasferita ai nobili boemi Hinko Birke von der Duba tramite contratti di scambio e acquisto, nel contratto d'acquisto fu annotato: "Il Waell di Werdenhein non deve essere coltivato né occupato per sempre."
