Il giardino d'infanzia evangelico di Eberswalde è stato fondato nel 1832 come secondo giardino d'infanzia nel Brandeburgo ed è oggi il più antico giardino d'infanzia ancora esistente nel Land Brandeburgo. Il gestore del giardino d'infanzia è la comunità della Chiesa evangelica di Eberswalde, si trova in Pfeilstraße 27 nel centro città di Eberswalde.
Nel febbraio 1832, il predicatore e rettore della scuola comunale dell'epoca, Ernst Daniel Martin Kichner, istituì la prima scuola per bambini piccoli nel Marchesato di Brandeburgo in Hinterstraße, ora Kirchstraße, a Neustadt Eberswalde.
