Il Zwönitz o Zwönitzbach è il fiume sorgente lungo 39 km a est del Chemnitz in Sassonia, Germania.
Il fiume nasce nell'Erzgebirge, sul bordo sud-ovest dell'Altopiano di Geyer, tra Schatzenstein e le Alte Kutten. Le sue sorgenti principali si trovano a un'altitudine di 640-660 m sul livello del mare, tra le città di Zwönitz ed Elterlein. Sul versante nord del Schwarze Stein e lungo il margine occidentale della Foresta di Geyer, bracci sorgentiferi più piccoli si estendono anche più in alto, fino a un massimo di 730 m. Una sorgente del Zwönitz incapsulata nella pietra si trova a sud dell'abitato di Burgstädtel. Il Zwönitz, lungo 39,2 km, scorre verso nord attraverso le città di Zwönitz e Thalheim, fino a confluire con il Würschnitz nel quartiere di Altchemnitz a Chemnitz e da lì forma il fiume Chemnitz.
