La sedia del re è la formazione di rocce di gesso più famosa della Stubbenkammer nel Parco Nazionale di Jasmund sull'isola di Rügen. La sua altezza è di 118 m s.l.m.
La sedia del re si trova a 7 km a nord di Sassnitz e a 4 km a sud-est di Lohme. Attraverso un sentiero panoramico lungo circa 11 km, che va da Sassnitz a Lohme, o tramite un servizio navetta dal grande parcheggio di Hagen, si può raggiungere il Centro del Parco Nazionale. L'ingresso al centro e quindi l'accesso alla sedia del re stessa sono a pagamento. La sedia del re a Rügen è un'attrazione turistica. Circa 300.000 visitatori arrivano ogni anno alla sedia del re per godere della vista sul Mar Baltico e sulle scogliere di gesso. Tuttavia, l'accesso attraverso il cosiddetto "tomba del re" sta diventando sempre più stretto a causa delle frane. La città di Sassnitz sta quindi pianificando una nuova piattaforma di osservazione.
