Kapellen è sia un quartiere di Moers sia, come Kapellen-Mitte, una delle sei frazioni di questo quartiere nella contea di Wesel nel Nord Reno-Westfalia. Oltre a Kapellen-Mitte, le frazioni sono Bettenkamp, Holderberg, Achterrathsfeld, Achterrathsheide e Vennikel.
Dal precedente villaggio tipico del Basso Reno di Kapellen con una caratterizzazione agricola, che in seguito divenne un sito minerario, il luogo si è trasformato in un quartiere in crescita a causa del cambiamento strutturale.
