L'ex antico convento dei Cappuccini di Riedlingen è oggi utilizzato come biblioteca comunale e archivio cittadino. La chiesa del convento di San Sebastiano è considerata una delle prime chiese barocche dell'Alta Svevia.
Il convento fu costruito tra il 1645 e il 1655. Nell'ottobre del 1655 vi entrarono i primi padri cappuccini. Si assunsero principalmente compiti di assistenza pastorale a Riedlingen e nei dintorni. La base economica del convento era costituita da donazioni e da una panetteria di ostie per le comunità e i conventi circostanti.
