Il castello residenziale di Geyerswörth è un ex castello cittadino nella città vecchia di Bamberg. Prende il nome dalla famiglia Geyer di Norimberga. Nel 1313, la famiglia patrizia Geyer costruì qui un palazzo cittadino, dando al luogo il suo nome attuale. Nel 1585/1586, la famiglia si trasferì a Norimberga e cedette l'edificio all'allora principe vescovo di Bamberg, Ernst von Mengersdorf.
Dopo il 1585/1586, il principe vescovo Ernst von Mengersdorf ristrutturò la proprietà della famiglia Geyer e costruì l'attuale castello in stile rinascimentale.
