Il Wembach ha origine nel Teufelsrechgrund, a sud-est del quartiere di Ober-Ramstadt Rohrbach. Scorre a est del villaggio di Wembach, attraversa Reinheim e sfocia nella Gersprenz. Una parte del Wembach alimenta, durante le piene, il Langen Graben, che si unisce a nord del lago di Reinheim con il Dilsbach per formare il Landwehrgraben, che dopo circa un chilometro sfocia nella Gersprenz.
Il Wembach è un torrente di media montagna ricco di materiali fini e carbonatici. La regione delle scaglie è la sua principale area di pesca. Il suo bacino idrografico copre 14,7 km² e il suo deflusso medio è di 114 l/s. Il suo stato ecologico è considerato insoddisfacente.
