La Wildburg è un castello ricostruito situato nel comune di Treis-Karden nel distretto di Cochem-Zell. Si trova a circa 30 chilometri in linea d'aria a sud-ovest di Coblenza.
Il castello, situato su un promontorio boscoso e ripido, è bagnato dai due corsi d'acqua Flaumbach e Dünnbach che provengono dall'Hunsrück. Sullo stesso promontorio, separato solo da una conca, si trova il castello di Treis, leggermente più in basso e a poche centinaia di metri a nord. La Wildburg si trova a un'altezza di circa 85 metri sopra la confluenza dei due corsi d'acqua. Situata a un'altezza di 165 metri sopra il livello del mare, si trova a poco più di un chilometro a sud di Treis in una valle laterale del Mosella.
