Il mulino del villaggio era uno dei tre mulini di Stetten. Oltre al mulino del villaggio, esiste solo il mulino del lago. Il mulino del villaggio è stato menzionato per la prima volta nel 1494. In passato era conosciuto come mulino superiore.
Fino al 1829, il mulino apparteneva alla signoria locale, fino a quando non passò in possesso privato. Nel 1959, la ruota del mulino fu sostituita da una turbina. 15 anni dopo, l'attività del mulino fu interrotta a causa della riempitura del canale del mulino. Fino al 1998, il mulino veniva ancora utilizzato per il commercio della farina. L'intera tecnologia del mulino è ancora conservata. Attualmente il mulino è in fase di ristrutturazione.
