In gran parte il sentiero si snoda su ben curati sentieri forestali e campestri. Tuttavia, la salita poco dopo l'inizio del Hambergweg verso la Heinemannshöhe è non asfaltata e rappresenta una grande sfida, superabile solo con tempo secco e stabile.
