La Herlufsholm School è una scuola privata diurne e collegiale situata lungo il fiume Suså a Næstved, circa 80 chilometri a sud di Copenaghen. Herlufsholm è stata fondata nel 1565 come collegio per "figli di nobili e altri uomini onesti" sul sito di un ex monastero benedettino del XII secolo. Herlufsholm è coeducativa sin dagli anni '60 per gli studenti diurni, e dal 1985 per gli studenti del collegio. Attualmente, il corpo studentesco supera i 600 studenti, di cui circa 275 sono studenti residenti che vivono nei dormitori. Gli alunni seguono un programma di 10 giorni con lezioni il sabato seguite da weekend di 3 giorni. La scuola offre una gamma di istruzione: dalla sesta classe della scuola secondaria inferiore danese; la decima classe opzionale; i tre gradi della scuola secondaria superiore e i programmi internazionali: una classe preparatoria con esami IGCSE e il Programma del Diploma Internazionale.
