La Girvière è un villaggio del comune francese di Sables-d'Olonne, situato nel dipartimento della Vendée. Il villaggio di La Girvière si trova a sud-ovest dell'ex comune di Olonne-sur-Mer, nelle vicinanze delle Paludi di Olonne e della Foresta demaniale di Olonne, che si estende su un cordone dunoso della costa. Il fiume La Vertonne drena le paludi sia a nord, per raggiungere l'oceano a Brem-sur-Mer, unendosi all'Auzance, sia a sud attraverso il canale che collega il porto dei Sables-d'Olonne all'oceano. La Girvière dista 1,5 km dalle spiagge della costa selvaggia. L'attraversamento della Vertonne avviene tramite il ponte di La Forgerie. Oltre, la foresta demaniale è segnata da sentieri escursionistici con piste ciclabili lungo tutta la costa. Questi territori sono registrati come ZNIEFF o ZICO. Dune, foresta e paludi di Olonne, alle porte di La Girvière e su una parte del suo territorio, costituiscono uno dei 13 siti Natura 2000 della Vendée.
