Orange è una città nel dipartimento del Vaucluse, nel sud della Francia. Il comune in Provenza è grande 74,2 km² e conta 28.889 abitanti (1999). Raggiungibile dall'A7 da Lione.
Intorno alla città c'è molta viticoltura della regione Côtes du Rhône, con vini famosi come Châteauneuf du Pape e Gigondas. Orange è stata per anni il centro del commercio delle arance, il che ha influenzato la designazione francese di questo frutto (orange), e quindi anche la designazione per il colore arancione.
Orange ha legami con la Casa d'Orange. Nel 1544 Guglielmo di Nassau ereditò questa città da suo cugino René di Chalon e divenne principe d'Orange. Nel 1713 divenne parte della provincia francese del Delfinato. Rimase una provincia all'interno di quella provincia; era ancora quasi completamente circondata dal Comtat Venaissin, uno stato pontificio che rimase indipendente per un'altra piccola secolo prima di essere assorbito dalla Francia.
