Lugdunum Convenarum, letteralmente « collina del dio Lug dei Conveni » è il nome comunemente dato oggi a una importante città urbana antica aquitano-romana del sud-ovest della Gallia romana, corrispondente all'attuale villaggio di Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. Nel 72 a.C., Pompeo torna dalla Spagna per aiutare Metello a combattere un altro antico generale romano, Sertorio, traditore che voleva prendere la sua indipendenza. Sertorio muore assassinato da uno dei suoi luogotenenti, M. Perperna Vento. Per sistemare le sue truppe diventate inutili, Pompeo avrebbe fondato a Lugdunum Convenarum, un forte su questo oppidum naturale. La città doveva diventare un centro di romanizzazione di tutta questa regione e contribuire a stabilire le popolazioni aquitano-romane.
