La battaglia di Cambrai fu combattuta dalla BEF contro le forze tedesche nel corso della prima guerra mondiale. Nel corso di questa battaglia furono usati per la prima volta con risultati positivi i carri armati, dimostrando che la linea Hindenburg poteva essere superata, mentre i contrattacchi tedeschi adottarono per la prima volta su questo fronte la tattica dell'infiltrazione, già sperimentata con successo a Riga , e utilizzata poi con la massima efficacia nel Kaiserschlacht .
