La Causa, o Cose secondo la sua forma antica, è un fiume del dipartimento francese delle Bouches-du-Rhône che ha la sua sorgente sul versante nord-est del monte Sainte-Victoire e si getta nell'Arc vicino ad Aix-en-Provence.
La Causa ha la sua sorgente nel comune di Vauvenargues, vicino al Pic des Mouches, sul versante nord della cresta principale della Sainte-Victoire. Direttamente verso nord, perde rapidamente quota, poi si dirige verso ovest, costeggiando il villaggio di Vauvenargues, fino al bacino della diga di Bimont, alimentata dall'acqua del canale di Provenza. Dalla diga, si orienta a sud-ovest e scava profonde gole, dove si getta nel bacino della diga Zola, antico bacino di approvvigionamento idrico della città di Aix-en-Provence. La Causa scende poi verso sud, passa a 180 metri di altitudine nel luogo delle rovine di un acquedotto romano su un blocco roccioso dominante Tholonet, quindi scende dolcemente fino al borgo di Palette, dove si unisce all'Arc, il suo fiume collettore, a 156 metri di altitudine.
