Il Castello di Berg, precedentemente chiamato « Residenza degli abati di Echternach », è iscritto nell'elenco dei monumenti storici dal 2003. Il villaggio di Berg-sur-Moselle è un gioiello notevole grazie ai monumenti che si sono accumulati nel corso della sua storia. Possiede 3 piani di 9 campate ciascuno. Nel 915, anno della sua morte, il conte Reginardo di Lorena e sua moglie donarono i beni che possedevano a Berg-sur-Moselle all'abbazia benedettina di Echternach in Lussemburgo. Nel 1952, dopo la morte della proprietaria, Mademoiselle Koch, (una ricca famiglia lussemburghese) che viveva da sola nel castello, la proprietà conobbe un periodo di abbandono di 6 anni. Poi furono Madame e Monsieur Jaud, professori a Thionville, ad acquistare il castello nel 1960.
