Classificato e protetto come monumento storico, il dolmen di Blessac noto come Pierre-la-Fade (o pietra delle fate) risale al Neolitico e, come la maggior parte dei dolmen europei, è stato costruito tra la fine del V millennio e la fine del III millennio a.C.
Nell'immaginario collettivo, le Fade o fate sono geni dell'aria, dei boschi, delle rocce e dell'acqua che vivono generalmente in gruppi di tre, nascondendosi durante il giorno nelle fessure delle rocce che fungono da loro dimora ed emergendo al tramonto. Per questo motivo molti dolmen sono associati alla leggenda delle fate e sono diventati luoghi di credenza e superstizione.
Luogo di sepoltura collettiva, questo dolmen rettangolare avrebbe avuto quattro supporti e un tavolo formato da due blocchi giustapposti.
