Composta principalmente da opere tecniche su diversi temi (utensili, storia dei mestieri, tecniche, belle arti, scrittori operai e contadini, ecc.), la biblioteca ospita alcune opere molto rare e molto antiche, come i 35 volumi della prima edizione dell'Encyclopédie di Diderot e d'Alembert (1751 ? 1780) e la seconda edizione del trattato De Architectura (i dieci libri) di Vitruvio (1572 ? considerato l'unico trattato completo dell'antichità).
Una collezione contemporanea, un certo numero di riviste attuali, postazioni informatiche e software specializzati fanno della biblioteca un vero e proprio luogo di apprendimento e formazione per professionisti e curiosi.
