Jean-Marie BASSET è un maestro vetraio con sede a Laguenne sur Avalouze. Specializzato in vetrate tradizionali a piombo, restaura vetrate per Bâtiments de France e Monuments Historiques, in castelli, edifici religiosi e case private. Crea anche vetrate contemporanee in stile antico e astratto. Formato da maestri vetrai, ha appreso la minuziosa arte di questa forma d'arte, così rara ed essenziale per la conservazione del nostro patrimonio. Non esiste un metodo moderno facile e veloce. Tutto è fatto a mano, nella pura tradizione dell'Arte della Vetrata. Co-presidente dell'associazione "Autour du vitrail", Jean-Marie trasmette a sua volta le sue conoscenze e le sue tecniche di vetrate artistiche organizzando corsi.
