Questa è la settima tappa della Via Tolonensis, conosciuta in Francia anche come GR653, una delle quattro vie principali dalla Francia a Santiago di Compostela. Il percorso parte da Arles passando per Montpellier, Castres e Tolosa fino al Col de Somport dove si unisce ai cammini spagnoli.
La tappa da Montarnaud a Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert è lunga 22 km ed è segnata con i noti segni rosso e bianco.
