Il territorio comunale di Trevi nel Lazio si trova a cavallo tra i monti Simbruini a nord ed i monti Ernici a sud.
La zona apparteneva al territorio meridionale degli Equi e alla conquista da parte dei Romani entrò a far parte della tribù Aniensis , istituita nel 299 a.C..
