Bobbio è un comune italiano di 3 383 abitanti della provincia di Piacenza, in val Trebbia, in Emilia-Romagna. Il territorio, abitato fin dal neolitico con insediamenti celto-liguri, divenne romano nel 14 a.C. e nel IV secolo si formò il borgo fortificato di Castrum Bobium, ma la sua storia si identifica con quella dell'Abbazia di San Colombano fondata nel 614.
